Artist Statement:

I take up macro photos of plants that have a lot of texture and present it for others to see each detail of each plant. I want to show every part of it from the petals, the center of the flower, to the webs that may appear across the stems. I want to invite people into my world and what I see.

Biography:

Hi my name is Denai Taylor, I am a college student and I really enjoy macro photography. I am based in San Lorenzo California. I have studied photography for four years. When I started taking classes, something that had caught my attention were the many different techniques that can be used to create a photograph. I like taking pictures of things that catch my attention and I am currently diving into Macro photography. Macro photography brings me into the idea of how the world feels up close. The textures, outlines, smoothness, and everything that you can feel or sense with in each photo. I want people to see what I see when taking these photos, imagine the smell and touch of what I put on display.
